Low Water Bridge Vineyard
Low Water Bridge Vineyard and Winery was established in 2002 by Wes and Karal Googe. Located in the North Carolina Piedmont near Winston-Salem, the climate at the vineyard is nearly identical to the south of France.
In 2005-2006, new goings on are that we are pruned, tied, and ready for our next season. We still have our original stock of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Viognier and a Merlot.
As you can see, our grapes are flourishing. The weather here has been ideal for grapes. While our stock is still too young to produce enough for a good pressing, we are confident that in a few years, we will be pressing our own wines.
As a newly founded vineyard, tours are not yet available. The winery will be open for visitors in the summer of 2010. Our vineyard store will also open in 2010. It will stock our own wines as well as the American-style raku pottery of Noreen Stiso.
